June Cutter is running for the California State Assembly to be a real voice for our community in Sacramento. An accomplished attorney and small business owner, June’s community involvement began at the local elementary school, where she served as President of the parent teacher organization from 2018 to 2020. June currently serves as President of the state-wide California Women’s Leadership Association, helping to launch women leaders in politics, government, and within the community.

The daughter of Korean immigrants, June was born and raised in Southern California. She graduated cum laude from U.C. Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She went on to receive her Juris Doctorate and Master’s in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California, completing both graduate degrees by the age of 23.

June believes that a great education is the key to opportunity. She wants to make sure that our schools are providing the education that California’s children need to succeed – that means making sure schools stay open, that education dollars are spent in the classroom, and empowering parents to hold schools accountable for results.

As an attorney with nearly 20 years of experience representing businesses and individuals across the state of California, June has seen the challenges posed by burdensome legislation. She looks at the career politicians we have elected in Sacramento and sees that their main goal is getting reelected, not doing what’s best for the day to day needs of people in their community. She looks at their votes, and who pays for their campaigns, and sees that they work for special interests and lobbyists, not us.

June wants all hard-working Californians to have a voice again – to live their best lives and raise their families as they choose. She expects leaders to be guided by a moral compass that compels them to do what is best for the communities they represent; and she thinks that you should expect that too.

For over 12 years, June and her husband have called San Diego their home. They raise their two school-aged children in the San Diego suburb of Del Sur.  That’s who June Cutter is, and why she is stepping up to challenge Sacramento’s political machine. For her family and yours too.
