(San Diego, CA) – Many of San Diego’s prominent education leaders announced their endorsement of June Cutter for State Assembly.
These leaders include San Diego County Board of Education Member, Mark Powell; Poway Unified School District Board Members, T.J. Zane and Ginger Couvrette; San Marcos Unified School District Board Member, Victor Graham; Rancho Santa Fe School Board Trustee, Jee Manghani; Lakeside Union School District Board Member, Andrew Hayes; Former San Diego Unified School District Trustee, Mitz Lee; Tom Keliinoi of Parents for Quality Education; and Doug Johnson, former Principal of Del Sur Elementary School and current Executive Director of Learning Support Services for Poway Unified School District.
“As President of the Del Sur PTA, June has first-hand knowledge of the challenges facing our local schools,” said Ginger Couvrette, Clerk of the PUSD School Board. “June has supported her local elementary school through countless volunteer hours, and she is the best person to represent the interests of San Diego’s parents and students in Sacramento. As a school board member, and also as a parent, I enthusiastically endorse June Cutter for State Assembly.”
These endorsements add to the growing list of supporters of June Cutter for State Assembly. June has already been endorsed by the San Diego County Republican Party, Assembly Republican Leader Marie Waldron, Senate Republican Leader Shannon Grove, State Senator Brian Jones, San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond, San Diego City Councilman Chris Cate, and former San Diego City Councilman Carl DeMaio.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of these leaders in education,” said June Cutter. “As a mom of two, I believe that every child growing up in California deserves access to a first-rate education that fits their individual needs.”
“I applaud our local educators for the work they put into improving the lives and educational outcomes of San Diego’s students,” Cutter continued. “If elected, I will make education a priority, supporting an individual approach to the challenges facing California’s students in each of their unique communities.”
June Cutter is a wife and mom, attorney, small business owner and PTA President at Del Sur Elementary School. She is running for State Assembly in the 77th district, a seat currently occupied by newly minted Democrat Brian Maienschein.
